The abstracts “Synergistic activity of the c-Met and tubulin inhibitor tivantinib (ARQ197) with pemetrexed in mesothelioma cells” by Dr. Leticia G. Leon and “Spliceosome inhibition as novel strategy against diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma” by Rocco Sciarrillo were selected as oral presentations, and during the closing ceremony they both received the young investigator award as best oral presentations.
The success of Dr. Leon, as well as her recent iCARE Marie Curie grant to work in the Cancer Pharmacology Lab, have been also described in a Press release of the University of Pisa
